Gary’s Gallop: Take part in a 5K run or 2-mile walk on a scenic course through Underwood Parkway and the Wisconsin Lutheran College Outdoor Athletic Complex. This event, a tribute to the late Wisconsin Lutheran College president Gary Greenfield, begins with registration from 8 to 9 a.m., with the run and walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. A kids race begins at 10:30 a.m. Meet at the college’s outdoor athletic complex parking lot, 1401 Swan Blvd. Registration costs $30 for adults and $10 for children 12 and younger. Included in the fee is a long-sleeve shirt (5K and 2-mile participants only), a light breakfast and lunch, awards by division and a charitable gift to the WLC athletics booster organization. Jazz & Such: Members of the Hart Park Senior Center will enjoy a jazz performance by Jazz & Such at the Hart Park Senior Center, 7300 W. Chestnut St., from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The event is free to members or $1 for others.
Story Time: Children 3 to 6 years of age can discover stories, prereading skills, songs, movement and crafts at 1:30 p.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave.
Adult Piano Night: Adults interested in learning to play piano are welcome to come to Steinway Piano Gallery of Milwaukee, 11550 W. North Ave., for an informal gathering of pianists of all skill levels and musical sensibilities, and can perform a short piece if desired. There is no pressure to perform. Refreshments will be served.
