Parochial School Art Show: Student artwork from Wauwatosa parochial schools will be on display through March 26 at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave.

Tot Time: Children up to age 3 and their caregivers can listen to a story and a rhyme and then play with toys during this session from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. Just drop by.

“Of Shapes and Figures”: Join the opening reception for Gallery 2622’s exhibition of Jake Nordstrum’s artwork, titled "Of Shapes and Figures," from 6 to 9 p.m. at the gallery, 2622 N. Wauwatosa Ave. Nordstrum’s abstract paintings, influenced by Picasso and Pollock, are painted with both oil and acrylic on canvas and paper.

Family Free Day at the Zoo: Admission to the Milwaukee County Zoo, 10001 W. Bluemound Road, is free from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Regular parking and concession fees still apply.

Pancake Breakfast: Boy Scout Troop 117 will serve up pancakes, sausage, made-to-order omelets and more in the Christ King School Hall, 2646 N. Swan Blvd., at 8 a.m. A pancake breakfast will cost $5 and an omelet $3. All proceeds benefit charity.

The Dinosaur Disaster Planetarium Show: Did an asteroid really kill the dinosaurs? Learn more during a program at the Gary E. Sampson Planetarium, Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., at 7 p.m. (also 7 p.m. Wednesday). The show will be supported by evidence from the Milwaukee Public Museum’s Geology Department. Reserve a seat by calling 414-773-3390 and leaving a message with the date you would like to attend, the number of guests in your party, if anyone in your party will be in a wheelchair, and a phone number where you can be reached. Phone calls will only be returned if there is a problem with the reservation request. Reservations are honored until 6:55 p.m., at which time guests without reservations are seated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rhyme Time: Children up to 3 years of age are invited to enjoy a 20-minute session featuring nursery rhymes, stories, songs, finger plays and more at 9:30 or 10:30 a.m. at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave. An adult must attend with the child; older siblings are welcome.
