Tosa East swimmers were anchored by nine seniors

Nov. 22, 2011 | 0 comments

Wauwatosa East girls swimming coach Russ Weigel will be facing a rebuilding season next fall, as his deep senior class carried the Red Raiders this year.

"The team was anchored by our senior class," Weigel said. "We had great meets vs. DSHA, West Allis, Pius XI and swam great at conference, placing fourth. We also had an outstanding sectional meet. I am proud how hard the team worked to overcome adversity."

Weigel will lose the following seniors - Mackenzie Davies, Aubrey Dvorak, Brooke Hemze, Emily Jensen, Emmie Komp, Hailey Lutz, Sydney Rabishaw, Clare Stratton and Kiley Winter.

Jensen earned the MVP honor and Stratton earned the Coaches Award and the Most Improved Swimmer Award went to Hannah Bartholf.
