TOSA SWORDFISH
Arrowhead, Jan. 28
Hosted by Lake Country Swim Team
Type of event: In this single-age meet, swimmers only competed against others of the same age, rather than against swimmers within a range of ages. The top 12 swimmers of each age won awards within their individual events. A total of five teams from across Southeast Wisconsin competed in the meet.
Coach's Comment: "Winning trophies, medals and ribbons can be nice," coach Jackie Jecha said, "but it's personal best times that I continue to emphasize as the number one goal for our swimmers. Awards can be earned with slow times against lesser competition, but a stopwatch will always show a swimmer's true effort."
