Going into Tuesday night's home game with Greendale (see separate story), the Wauwatosa West girls have dropped five of six games and three in a row.
The Trojans (5-8 overall) were tied for third (5-6) with Whitnall (8-7) after dropping a 47-26 decision at New Berlin Eisenhower on Friday. The Lions played without star guard Nicole Bauman (17.6 points per game), who missed games last week with a sprained ankle.
The Trojans played well for a half, trailed 13-8 after one quarter and 22-14 at intermission. Ike slowly pulled away with a 12-8 third period to take a 34-22 lead after three quarters. The Lions then romped over Tosa West with a 13-4 fourth period.
The Lions had eight players score between two and 10 points, topped off by 10 points by Katie Lang and Taylor McArthur.
Tosa West had two players foul out - Jenna Engel and Latasha Harmon. The Trojans were led by Ashley Lindstrom with 12 points and Harmon with 11. The Trojans only got three points from two other players - Elise Ditscheit (two) and Jenna Lehmann (one).
Tosa West will have its hands full on Feb. 3 at Cudahy (9-2, 12-2) and then travel to Tosa East (4-9) on Feb. 7 to battle the Red Raiders in their annual cross-town game.
