In case you are wondering why there is a story on Whitnall junior Rachel Stave in the Wauwatosa paper, it was because she trained at the Wauwatosa West pool last week because of a facility situation.
Stave captured her second straight state championship in diving with 444.2 points at last weekend's WIAA Division 2 state swimming and diving meet on Friday in Madison.
Stave was second as a freshman and as a sophomore she came back to claim the crown with 470.2 points, just off the state record and finished ahead of the second place diver by nearly 100 points.
Read John Rech's story for all the details.
Wauwatosa West also had swimmers in the Division 2 meet and its recap can be found in this paper.
