Tosa Wrestling Club sets Fundraiser April 30

The second annual Wine vs. Beer Fundraising Event to benefit the Tosa Wrestling Club will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. April 30 at the Wauwatosa Woman's Club.

Tosa West's Cera earns D3 All-Region soccer honors

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater soccer player Becky Cera was named to the NCAA Division III Women's All-North Region Team, selected by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Cera, a senior midfielder from Wauwatosa West, earned second-team honors for the All-Region team. She holds the record for most assists (10) in a season and also the record for career assists (28).

Cera helped the team (11-8-1) advance to the WIAC semifinals. Cera also earned WIAC All-conference honors.

St. Bernard's seeking summer basketball players

St. Bernard in Wauwatosa is seeking seventh- and eighth-grade boys teams for summer basketball league.

Tosa East runner on Platteville track team

Freshman Jacob James is a member of this year's University of Wisconsin-Platteville track and field team.

He is a former Wauwatosa East runner.

Tosa Kickers accepting spring applications

The Tosa Kickers Soccer Club is now accepting applications for the 2010 spring soccer program, which is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18.

Registration can be completed online at www.mksc.org. If you want to fill out a paper registration instead or have additional questions, e-mail the club at execdir@tosakickers.com.

The season will begin the week of April 11, with games beginning April 17 and running through the first week of June. The U6 league practices and plays their games on Saturdays. Other age groups practice twice each week and play on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.
