Tosa Kickers accepting spring applications

The Tosa Kickers Soccer Club is accepting applications for its 2010 spring soccer program, open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18.

Registration is available online at mksc.org, under "Membership." For paper registration or more information, e-mail the club at execdir@tosakickers.com. The Tosa Kickers have a Web site with information on all the club's activities at tosakickers.com.

The season will begin the week of April 11 with games beginning April 17 and running through the first week of June. The U6 league practices and plays their games on Saturdays. Other age groups practice twice per week and play on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

Jr. Raiders football registration begins

Registration has begun for the 2010 Jr. Raiders football season, and the deadline is Feb. 19.

The Jr. Raiders will field teams at the fifth- through eighth-grade levels.

Everyone who played last year was e-mailed the information packet. Those that did not play last year can contact their school office for the Jr. Raiders signup materials.

Only the first 35 registrations received per team will be guaranteed a roster spot.

The Jr. Raiders also are looking for coaches, including a head coach at the fifth-grade level.

Coaches do not need to have a child on the team, although many coaches do have sons who play.

Previous coaching or playing experience is preferred, but is not necessary.

Call Tom Swittel at (414) 773-2027 or Jake Wolter at (414) 773-2309.
