Trojans Baseball Spaghetti Fundraiser set for Jan. 31
The second annual Wauwatosa West Baseball Club spaghetti dinner fundraiser is scheduled for Jan. 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, at Highway 100 and Watertown Plank Road.
There will be a silent auction, raffles, door prizes and cash bar to raise money for the Trojans baseball program. A social/cocktail hour is set for 5 p.m., followed by the buffet spaghetti dinner at 6 p.m.
The guest speaker will be George Koonce, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee athletic director and a member of the 1996 Super Bowl Packers. He is scheduled to speak at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.

Tosa Kickers accepting spring applications
The Tosa Kickers Soccer Club is now accepting applications for the 2010 spring soccer program, which is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 18.
Registration can be done online at mksc.org. If you require a paper registration or have addition questions, contact the club at execdir@tosakickers.com . The Tosa Kickers have a Web site with information on all the club's activities at tosakickers.com.
The season will begin the week of April 11, with games beginning on April 17 and running through the first week of June. The U6 league practices and plays their games on Saturdays. Other age groups practice twice per week and play on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.
Junior Raiders football registration begins
Registration has begun for the 2010 Junior Raiders football season and the deadline is Feb. 19.
The Junior Raiders will field teams at the fifth through eighth grade levels. Everyone who played last year should have been e-mailed an information packet. Those who did not play last year should contact their school office for the signup materials. Please be advised that only the first 35 registrations received per team will be guaranteed a roster spot.
The Junior Raiders also are looking for coaches, including a head coach at the fifth-grade level. If you are interested, contact Tom Swittel (414) 773-2027 or Jake Wolter (414) 773-2309.
Wauwatosa spikers in national tournament
Two Wauwatosa residents are members of the West Allis Lightning boys 18-year-old team, which competed with 42 teams last weekend in a National qualifying tournament in St. Louis.
The Lightning team features California Irvine recruit Jeremy Dejno of New Berlin United and Ohio State recruit Peter Heinen of Marquette, along with seven other top players from the Milwaukee area. Heinen and Mitch Lahmann of Tosa West are members of the team who are Tosa residents.
The top-seeded Lightning team went undefeated to earn a bid for Nationals in Texas.
