Go online to get coffee, benefit East boosters

Cranky Al's offers coffee and hot chocolate packages this winter to benefit Wauwatosa East booster clubs.

Coffee is $10 a bag for regular roasts or $11 a bag for flavored coffees. The hot chocolate box is $15 and includes a Cranky Al's mug.

Visit teboosterclub.org to download a form or to order online. The sale ends Dec. 11.

Tosa native named to national all-star football team

Wauwatosa native Tim Machan, a 2006 graduate of Marquette High, has been named to Team Stars and Stripes, a Division III national all-star football team.

The squad will play in the annual Bowl of the Stars against a Mexican all-star team on Dec. 19 in Mexico City.

A senior at Washington University in St. Louis, Machan finished his career seventh on the Bears' all-time interception list, holding school records for most interceptions in a game (three) and most interception return yards for a season (177).

For the year, he had three interceptions, 67 tackles, a fumble recovery and two forced fumbles. He also was named all-conference for the third consecutive time.

WSCA sets Feb. 20 for Hall of Fame banquet

The second annual Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Bavarian Inn, 700 W. Lexington Blvd., Glendale.

This year's inductees include Ron Holzhueter, Bob Gansler, Bill Reddan and Jim Launder.

Tickets can be purchased for $35 by WSCA members and $45 by nonmembers. Checks should be mailed to Dan Stone, 21925 Foxhaven Run, No. 6, Waukesha, WI 53186. The deadline is Feb. 1.
