When the Marquette Hilltoppers and the Menomonee Falls Indians square off at 4 p.m. Friday at Camp Randall Stadium for the WIAA Division 1 Football Championship, there will be three Wauwatosa seniors on the field for Marquette.
Two of them play on the defensive side - No. 74 is Michael Brennan, a 6-foot-4 inch, 225-pound defensive lineman. No. 1 is Henry Kuranz, a 6-foot-1-inch, 165-pound outside linebacker.
On offense, No. 87 is tight end and captain Colin Weyer.
Whitewater's Cera named first-team all-WIAC in soccer
Former Wauwatosa West player Becky Cera was named to the 2009 WIAC All-Conference Soccer Team released last week.
Cera was one of four Warhawks players, and 22 players overall, who earned all-conference honors. She also earned a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Cera, a midfielder, also earned first-team All-WIAC honors in 2007.
This season Cera led the WIAC and the Warhawks in assists with 10, averaging 0.5 per game. This is a Warhawks season record, passing the old record of nine, held by Becky Barr in 1996.
Cera also scored 18 points for the Warhawks, which was second on the team and tenth in the WIAC. She also added four goals.
