Tosa players receive mention on NOW team

Wauwatosa West and Wauwatosa East did not have a first-team player on the 14-member 2009 NOW All-Suburban Softball Team, but the local teams did have one high honorable mention member and four honorable mention players.

In order to receive high honorable mention, a nominated player must receive one vote for the first team.

Wauwatosa had five members - four from Tosa West and one from Tosa East.

Sophomore outfielder Allison Coppersmith of Tosa West earned the high honorable mention honor, while West teammates senior catcher Colleen Myers, senior pitcher Kelly LeDoux and junior infielder Katy Schmutzer received honorable mention.

Senior utility player Molly Guendert was the only member of the Tosa East squad represented.
