Fun on the Fourth
Wauwatosa's Independence Day parade begins at 9 a.m. and will make its way down North Avenue between 104th Street and 80th Street. Hart Park will host family fun from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Events include face painting, a petting zoo, pony and camel rides, jugglers and musical acts and games and races. Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. and can be best viewed from the open area between 70th and 72nd streets. They will be launched between 68th and 70th streets.

Greenfield's Shannon Butts has been named the All-Suburban Softball Player of the Year by the NOW staff and online voters. The junior went 15-6 on the mound and batted .482 to lead her team to a divisional title.
