BURGLARY

1Two gaming systems, a laptop and a DVD receiver, valued at $1,050, were taken from a home in the 3200 block of North 105th Street prior to 1:21 a.m. July 10. Windows were broken.

2A bicycle valued at $600 was taken from an unlocked garage in the 1400 block of Church Street between 8:30 a.m. July 11 and 8:30 a.m. July 13.

3A lock was damaged in an attempt to break into the Wauwatosa Recreation Department supply building at Webster Park, 4555 N. Mayfair Road, prior to 12:08 p.m. July 12.

4A homeowner saw someone in his unlocked garage in the 8800 block of Stickney Avenue at 3:30 pm. July 12. When he approached the burglar, the person exited the garage and left on a bicycle.

5A tool box valued at $250 was taken from a locked basement storage unit in the 2500 block of North 124th Street between 10 a.m. July 13 and 1 p.m. July 16.

6A man used a crowbar to break in and take a cash drawer from Edge Apparel, 801 N. Mayfair Road, at 11:58 p.m. July 13. He triggered the alarm and was recorded by surveillance cameras.

7Two televisions, change and jewelry were taken from a home in the 10500 block of Grantosa Drive between noon July 13 and 3:30 p.m. July 15.

THEFT

8Jewerly valued at $2,000 was taken from a home in the 7700 block of Portland Avenue between May 15 and July 1.

A resident's debit card was used to make three fraudulent purchases totalling $368 at Starbucks stores between July 4 and 6.

9A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft after she failed to charge two people with merchandise totaling $476 in her check-out lane at Kmart, 3201 N. Mayfair Road, prior to 2:58 p.m. July 5.

10A man unlocked the perfume case and removed boxes valued at $300 at Walgreens, 6600 W. State St., at 9 p.m. July 8. He left the bag full of boxes on the floor as he walked out.

11A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for retail theft after he layered three pairs of jeans valued at $300 under his own jeans at Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 5:46 p.m.; July 9.

12A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft after she was caught stealing gift cards at JC Penney Logistics, 11800 W. Burleigh St., between Feb. 1 and June 30. Gift cards totaling $590 were returned to the store and, as an employee, the woman intercepted the mail.

13A customer's wallet valued at $110 was taken from Chico's at Mayfair about 2 p.m. July 10. It was used by a woman suspected of prior frauds at Target in Wauwatosa to make $550 in fraudulent charges.

14Two Milwaukee girls, ages 16 and 17, were arrested for retail theft after they stuffed items valued at $$292 in their purses at Kmart at 7:31 p.m. July 10.

15A bicycle valued at $150 was taken from a porch in the 12100 block of West Bluemound Road between 2 a.m. and noon July 10.

16An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for speeding in the 10200 block of West Capitol Drive at 10:15 a.m. July 11. The vehicle, a 2005 Mazda, had been stolen from Milwaukee.

17An unlocked bicycle valued at $100 was taken from a rack at the Wauwatosa Public Library, 7635 W. North Ave., at 9:48 p.m. July 11.

18A woman put clothing valued ay $468 in a bag and walked out of Boston Store at Mayfair at 10:20 a.m. July 12. When a security guard confronted her, she dropped the bag and ran.

19A 20-year-old West Bend man was arrested for retail theft after he took a phone and accessories valued at $371 from Best Buy Mobile at Mayfair at 7:02 p.m. July 12. He left his girlfriend and their child at the store. The girlfriend called him and convinced him to return. Police found he had also stuffed some phone accessories in his child's stroller.

20A laptop and accessories valued at $2,841 were taken from a vehicle at Mo's Irish Pub, 10842 W. Bluemound Road, between 7:30 p.m. July 12 and 12:15 a.m. July 13. A window had been broken.

21A 2000 Chrysler Cirrus valued at $4,000 was taken from The Reserve apartments, 6100 W. State St., between 8 p.m. July 12 and 4 a.m. July 13. The car received a parking ticket in Milwaukee after it went missing.

22Two Milwaukee women, ages 21 and 25, were arrested for retail theft after they stuffed items valued at $130 in their purses at Ragstock in Mayfair at 5:11 a.m. July 13. They also were in possession of merchandise taken from several other mall stores. The older woman had a warrant.

23A shopper's wallet was taken at Goodwill, 12121 W. Feerick St., and a man and woman used one of the credit cards to make fraudulent charges totaling $1,572 at Target at 7:52 p.m. July 13.

24A wallet was taken from Aurora Psychiatric Hospital, 1220 Dewey Ave., and a credit card was used to make fraudulent charges totaling $208 at a Walgreens in Fox Point.

25A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for two counts of theft after he tried to make fraudulent returns for items valued at $640 at The Home Depot at 9:50 a.m. July 14 and 11:18 a.m. July 15.

26An MP3 player, loose change and a GPS unit, valued at $660, were taken from three vehicles at Holiday Inn Express, 11111 W. North Ave., between 12:30 and 7:30 a.m. Windows had been broken.

27A 21-year-old man and 40-year-old woman, both from Milwaukee, were arrested for retail theft after they took 41 items, including soap and body wash, valued at $286 from Walgreens, 2275 N. Mayfair Road, at 10:54 a.m. July 15. They had a car filled with items taken from stores along Mayfair Road.

28A GPS valued at $100 was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2500 block of North 67th Street between 7 p.m. July 15 and 9 a.m. July 16.

Wauwatosa Police Department responded to four thefts of items valued at less than $100 in the past week.

ASSAULT

29A teenage girl pinned an 11-year-old boy to a metal fence, pulled off his glasses and slapped him in the temple as another girl recorded the assault on her phone at the Roosevelt Elementary School basketball court, 2535 N. 73rd St., at 9:09 p.m. July 11. He broke free and ran to a nearby friend's house. The boy's younger brother was also punched and kicked by a boy that accompanied the teenage girls.

DRUG POSSESSION

30Two men - a 38-year-old from West Allis and a 28-year-old from Fox Point - were arrested for conspiracy to deliver drugs at Super 9 motel, 115 N. Mayfair Road, at 5:32 p.m. July 8. They were staying at the motel, and employees kept receiving calls to their room and saw people coming and going. The two accepted $200 from two 25-year-old Beaver Dam men who wanted to purchase Oxycodone. The dealers didn't have any of the drug on them - although they had sold to this duo before - so they ran with the money. The West Allis man had two warrants. The buyers were arrested for drug paraphernalia possession after the police dog sniffed their vehicle and belongings.

ACCIDENT

31A 54-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital for neck and shoulder pain after her vehicle was struck from behind in the 7900 block of Bluemound Road at 5:27 p.m. July 9.

32A 62-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital after her vehicle was struck and flipped onto the driver's side at Mayfair Road and North Avenue at 8:37 a.m. July 13. The Fire Department removed her from the vehicle. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 75-year-old man, was cited for violating a stoplight.

33A 24-year-old woman was taken to St. Joseph Hospital for back pain after her vehicle was struck from behind at 68th Street and North Avenue at 7:07 a.m. July 14. She was cited for driving with a suspended license and having no insurance. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 77-year-old woman, was cited for following too closely.

VANDALISM

34Rocks were thrown through the living room window of a home in the 4700 block of Parkside Drive at 10:32 p.m. July 15. Damage was estimated at $600.

OTHER

35A 16-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for underage drinking after he was seen laying in the Mayfair Mall parking lot at 6:27 p.m. July 10. Two friends were trying to help him walk, but he fell and passed out, so he was taken to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He had a backpack with a nearly empty bottle of vodka inside. His blood alcohol content was 0.20.

36A woman turned in a forged prescription for Oxycodone at Walgreens, 2275 N. Mayfair Road, at 2:30 a.m. July 11.

37A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he failed to pay full bus fare, then swore and spit at the Milwaukee County Transit bus driver when she made him exit at 68th and State streets, at 1:32 p.m. July 12. He grabbed a transfer slip before he got off the bus. He had a warrant

with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office for disorderly conduct.

38A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drug paraphernalia possession after her vehicle was stopped for driving without headlights at 71st Street and Bluemound Road at 1:51 a.m. July 13. A needle and three crack pipes were found in her purse. She had two warrants from Oak Creek for drug possession.

39A man paid with a counterfeit $20 bill at McDonald's, 3800 N. 124th St., at 10:20 a.m. July 15.

40Two men ran from police after their vehicle was pulled over for driving through a flashing red light at 60th and Lloyd streets at 11:27 p.m. July 15. Police found an unloaded .22-caliber rifle in the vehicle.

The Wauwatosa Police Department responded to five domestic violence incidents in the past week.
