1A laptop computer and a bottle of wine were stolen from a house in the 7700 block of West Clarke Street between 2:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and 9 p.m. Dec. 27. The back door of the house was kicked in. Loss is $715.
2An apartment in the 1100 block of West Meinecke Avenue was broken into via an unlocked door and a tablet charger was taken from it between 2 and 9 p.m. Dec. 26.
3A window of a home in the 8100 block of Brookside Place was opened by strangers at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 27. The screen had been cut but no one made it inside. Damage is estimated at $50.
4A back door was smashed open and a television was taken from a home in the 6300 block of Milwaukee Avenue between 8:15 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. Dec. 30. Total loss is $1,550.
5A front door was kicked in and a television was taken from an apartment in the 1400 block of North 63rd Street between 8:45 a.m. and 10 p.m. Dec. 30. Total loss is estimated at $415.
6Plywood covering damage from an old burglary was smashed to allow a burglar into Walgreens, 10800 W. Capitol Drive, at 4:01 a.m. Dec. 31. The suspect took 10 cartons of cigarettes, a value of $650.
7A front door was forced open but nothing was stolen from Relaxation Station, 1109 N. Mayfair Road, between 8:50 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 2. Total damage to the building is $600.
8A woman called police after Target, 3900 N. 124th St., informed her she owed them $221 for two checks she wrote to them at 1 p.m. Dec. 7. The woman had not written any checks and the checks were from Landmark Credit Union. She isn't a member of Landmark Credit Union and she believes someone found her lost driver's license and used it to open the accounts.
A 27-year-old Wauwatosa man called police after he noticed a $109 transaction on his credit card from Karmaloop.com at 11:12 a.m. Dec. 17.
9Four video game controllers were taken from Target, 3900 N. 124th St., at 10:20 a.m. Dec. 19. Employees believe that the man who took the controllers was the same one taking from other Target stores. Total loss is $160.
10A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was found giving items to her friend for free while she was an employee of Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, between 9:29 p.m. Dec. 22 and 4:58 p.m. Dec. 31. Total loss is estimated at $764.
11A 63-year-old woman had her wallet stolen while she was shopping at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 26. When she went to cancel her cards, she noticed her cards were used for a $945 purchase she didn't authorize. She also lost cash, bringing the total loss without fraud purchases to $247.
12A 55-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking jeans and a shirt, total value of $214, from Buckle at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:05 p.m. Dec. 26. The woman had seven prior retail theft convictions and an outstanding warrant for probation violation.
13A 66-year-old man reported $965 taken from his account at Landmark Credit Union, 3900 N. 124th St., at 12:33 Dec. 27. The money was transferred to an account in Texas.
14A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for having $109 in stolen clothing on her from Pac Sun, Ragstock and Claire's, all stores in Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road. The theft occurred at 7:21 p.m. Dec. 27.
15A parked car had its window smashed and a jacket valued at $150 taken from it while it was parked at Xperience Fitness, 2885 N. Mayfair Road, at 12:16 p.m. Dec. 28.
16Five pairs of baby jeans were taken from Baby Gap at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 1:11 p.m. Dec. 28. Total loss is $124.
17Three video game controllers, a total value of $160, were taken from Target, 3900 N. 124th St., at 9:47 a.m. Dec. 29. Employees believe the thief is the same one who has been taking controllers from the other Target stores.
18Employees noticed 30 polo shirts, a total of $885, missing from Hollister at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 29. They believe the shirts were stolen when there was no on-duty employees in the room they were taken from.
19The manager of Abercrombie and Fitch called police after she noticed 42 bottles of cologne had been stolen in the course of the day at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road. She believes the theft may have happened between 6 and 9 p.m. Dec. 29. Total theft is $2,668.
20A 15-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for taking two shirts, a total value of $115, from Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 30. She gave police false information about her name and was found to have done the same on a prior arrest in November.
21A car's window was shattered and a bag of clothes taken from it while it was parked in the 400 block of North Mayfair Road between 12:31 and 3:10 a.m. Dec. 31. The bag contained work clothes and the total loss is $220.
22A woman dropped a bank envelope containing $600 at Walmart Market, 3850 N. 124th St., at 10:35 a.m. Dec. 31. Video shows a customer picking up and walking off with the envelope.
23Two pairs of sunglasses, valued between $495 and $595, were taken from Sunglass Hut at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 5:04 p.m. Dec. 31.
24A 22-year-old woman had her purse taken from her while she was playing games at Dave and Busters, 2201 N. Mayfair Road, at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 4. In the purse were a smartphone, driver's license and credit card, a total value of $710.
25Six males ran out on a $43 food bill from Dennys, 11155 W. North Ave., at 6:32 a.m. Jan 6. One of them left a cellphone there and when he came back, an employee asked if he was going to pay. The man then snatched the cellphone and ran off.
26Two males and one female took multiple items including clothing and curling irons from kiosks including Love You Hair and Proactive at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:04 p.m. Jan 6. Total loss is over $400.
Police responded to nine thefts of items valued at less than $100 this week.
27A 48-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of paraphernalia after police responded to a theft of liquor bottles from Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 5:17 p.m. Dec. 27. When police were searching him, the man said "There is a crack pipe in my right pocket." The theft was $38.
28A 20-year-old Hartland man was arrested for drug possession after drivers complained that he slammed his girlfriend's head into the window while driving in the 100 block of North Mayfair Road at 12:35 p.m. Dec. 28. While police were searching the car he screamed at her. Police found a jar containing 10.7 grams marijuana as well as plastic baggies in the car.
29A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, in the 6900 block of West North Avenue at 12:05 a.m. Dec. 28. The vehicle was in front of a cop and drove forward on a left-turn only light. She refused a Breathalyzer test and blood-draw results are pending.
30An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving after police found her asleep behind the wheel in the 8000 block of Woodland Avenue at 9:51 a.m. Jan 1. She hit the gas to get away multiple times while the vehicle was in park and officers had to take the keys out of the ignition. She gave the officer a $20 bill and told him "This should take care of it." He refused and told her to just get him her driver's license. Police also found a baggy of marijuana and two pipes in her vehicle. Her blood alcohol content was 0.14.
31A brick was thrown through a window of the Muellner Building at 7300 W. Chestnut St. between 4:45 and 8:55 p.m. Dec. 26. Damage is estimated at $500.
32Two vehicles had two tires slashed while they were parked in the 800 block of Geralayne Circle at 1:07 a.m. Dec. 28. Damage is estimated at $600.
33Two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in the 7600 block of West Wisconsin Avenue before 2:50 p.m. Dec. 28. Damage is estimated at $550.
34A wrench was thrown through a glass window at Ryder Logistics and Transportation, 11400 W. Burleigh St., between 2 and 5:30 a.m. Dec. 31. The window was next to a door, but nothing was stolen and the door appeared unopened. Total damage is $1,000.
35A Grafton man used checks from a closed bank account to make a $125 purchase from Hawk's Nursery, 12217 Watertown Plank Road, at 9:27 a.m. Dec. 24.
36An 83-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital after she slipped on ice, cutting her head at Park Drive and Center Street at 4:36 a.m. Jan 2.
37An employee of Walgreens, 6600 W. State St., found that a shipment of OxyContin was missing one 100-pill bottle at 1:41 p.m. Jan. 3. He was told that the normal delivery driver was not working that day.
38A stolen 2004 Dodge Stratus was found in the 7600 block of Hillcrest Drive at 10:31 a.m. Jan. 4. The vehicle was parked illegally and its steering column was damaged.
Police responded to one domestic disturbance call this week.
