1Two TVs, one 25 inches and the other 19 inches, were stolen from a house in the 2000 block of Martha Washington Drive between 9 p.m. Sept. 11 and 5:30 a.m. Sept. 12. The owner was asleep in the house when the burglars came in. Police informed him that his van was gone as well. The victim's keys were missing from his house. The televisions cost $350 and $700. The van is valued at $6,500. The screen was sliced open and the window was unlocked.
2Bikes, sports equipment and tools were taken from a garage in the 600 block of Glenview Avenue between 2 p.m. Sept. 14 and 2:15 p.m. Sept. 16. A small window had been broken on the side of the garage to gain access. Loss is estimated at $8,170.
3Two rings were taken from a house at the 12000 block of West Bluemound Road between May 15 and Aug. 31. The rings were valued at $750 and belonged to the victim's mother and father. The victim believes that the rings were taken by nursing assistants who were working for her at the time.
4A man reported 23 bottles of wine were taken from his house cellar in the 6600 block of West Wells Street between 6 a.m. June 18 and 7 p.m. Sept. 13. The victim has an iPad application that he uses to inventory the wine, which he has been doing for more than a year and believes that subcontractors doing renovations had taken the wine. The man used the application to find the missing wine. The loss is estimated at $395.
5A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking $60 from the cash register at Macy's at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 8 a.m. June 16 and 1 p.m. Sept. 14. Macy's loss prevention called police after watching the suspect take cash from the register. The suspect admitted to taking money 18 times since July for a total of $1,162. She also admitted to taking clothes at a value of $157.
6A catalytic converter valued at $1,100 was reported taken from a truck in the Habitat For Humanity parking lot, 3015 N. 114th St. between 6 p.m. Sept. 5 and 1:37 p.m. Sept. 12. The Habitat For Humanity shares a parking lot with Map Automotive, who also had a catalytic converter theft.
7Two catalytic converters valued at $1,800 were reported taken from Map Automotive, 2696 N. 114th St., between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11 and 11 a.m. Sept. 12.
8Medical equipment valued at $400 was taken after a car window was smashed in the parking lot of Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St. between 12:11 and 9 a.m. Sept 12.
9A catalytic converter valued at $1,200 was reported taken from a truck in the parking lot of Dust Free Cleaning Service, 12201 W. Burleigh St., at 3:52 p.m. Sept. 12.
10A 2000 Dodge Caravan was stolen in the 2700 block of North 75th Street between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 12 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 13. The van was worth $4,000 and was recovered in Milwaukee with a popped ignition and no plates.
11An air compressor valued at $200 was reported taken from a vehicle at the parking lot of the Milwaukee Career College, 3077 N. Mayfair Road.
12A 24-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for taking $163 worth of clothes from Hollister, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 6:32 p.m. Sept. 15.
Police responded to seven incidents of theft of items valued at $100 or less this week.
13A 43-year-old West Allis woman was arrestedfor drunken driving, second offense, in the 9300 block of West Bluemound Road at 1:31 a.m. Sept. 14. Her blood alcohol content was 0.22.
14A 27-year-old New Berlin woman was arrested for drunken driving after she struck a mailbox in the 2200 block of North 115th Street at 1:36 a.m. Sept. 15. Her BAC was 0.13.
15A 45-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 7600 block of West Center Street at 11:10 p.m. Sept. 15. She had a near-empty 1.5 liter bottle of wine in the front seat. She also said that she drank three glasses of wine on the way home.
16Graffitti was spray-painted on the wall of the bathroom of Webster Park, 4555 N. Mayfair Road, between Sept. 10 and 11. Witnesses were not able to identify what the graffiti said.
17A decorative bowl, valued at $75, was taken from the front yard and smashed in the 2200 block of North 72nd Street between 5:45 and 9:30 p.m. Sept. 15.
18A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for trespassing at the Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 4:35 p.m. Sept. 11. The woman was arrested for having a foil-lined bag, which is used to get past security scanners.
19A 52-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct at Baskin Robbins, 1417 Wauwatosa Ave., at 6:44 p.m. Sept. 14. He was drunk and swearing at people. Upon his arrest, police found out that he had four warrants for trespassing and one for having an open intoxicant in public. The man said he was waiting for his mother to pick him up.
20A man was bitten by a dog in the 10000 block of West Fisher Parkway at 8 p.m. Sept. 14. The dog was running at him with its leash still attached and bit him on the leg.
Police responded to one domestic disturbance call this week.
