City council considers changing meetings times
The Common Council discussed a range of possible new meeting times for council and committee meetings Tuesday.
Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7:30 p.m., with standing committees meeting the second and last Tuesdays. Committee meetings often run long, delaying other meetings and making it hard for a council member in two committees to make it to both meetings.
No final decisions were made.
Board issues 2 percent raises to district teachers
The Wauwatosa School Board approved a 2 percent across-the-board wage package for teachers for the current school year, moving away from the deal of last year that rewarded newer teachers more.
The total package costs $575,974.
A group of about 60 teachers who didn't receive raises last year or were hired under the old pay scale also received catch-up raises to put them in step with their peers.
