In Our Schools: Sept. 26

Eisenhower Elementary

The Run 4 It fundraiser will take place throughout the day Sept. 28. Students will have an opportunity to spend 20 minutes running laps or walking on the Wauwatosa West High School track. The event emphasizes the importance of physical fitness. Any donations will benefit PTA-sponsored events.

Lincoln Elementary

The second-grade will take a field trip to the public library from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Sept. 28.

Mercy Academy

Mercy's Chamber Choir, under the direction of Clara Kimani, will sing Oct. 9 during a special service at St. Josaphat Basilica in Milwaukee.

Roosevelt Elementary

The third annual Fun Run will take place Sept. 28 and will give students an opportunity to practice good physical fitness and show school spirit. Students will collect pledges from family and friends for each lap they walk or run in 20 minutes. All funds will be donated to the school PTA.

Wauwatosa Catholic

The eighth-grade class of Wauwatosa Catholic School is holding a car wash Sept. 30. The students will be at the St. Pius X parking lot after the 8 and 10 p.m. Masses, ready to give vehicles a super wash, rinse and dry. All car washes are free of charge; however, donations are greatly appreciated. All contributions will help the school and graduation activities.

Wauwatosa East High

Wauwatosa East will be hosting homecoming Sept. 28. Activities include a pep rally at 2:10 p.m., a powder-puff football game at 3:30 p.m., a parade at 6 p.m. and a football game at Hart Park at 7 p.m.

Wauwatosa West High

Wauwatosa West Transition Resource Fair will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at the high school.

Whitman Middle

WAC will take place for Grade 6 at 7 p.m. Sept. 28.

Wilson Elementary

The Wauwatosa STEM Governing Council meeting will be held at Wilson Elementary at 6 p.m. Oct. 3.
