Members of the Wauwatosa Fire Department presented a fire safety program to first- and third-graders on Oct. 22. Fire safety in a realistic, controlled setting was demonstrated in the Fire Safety House, a 32-foot-long mobile home.

St. John's Lutheran
St. John's Christian Education Society hosted a Fall Family Festival on Oct. 21 from noon to 4 p.m. Families enjoyed food concessions, s'mores, a pie contest, crafts, games, fire pits, and a touch football game at Hart Park.
St. Jude the Apostle
The Council of Students recently held a caramel apple sale, with all proceeds benefiting Repairers of the Breach, a daytime shelter and resource center for homeless people.
Kindergarten teacher Sue Lein recently had an article, "A Gingerbread Tale," published in The Mailbox, an educational magazine which delivers grade-specific ideas and activity suggestions.
Underwood Elementary
Kindergartners attended a performance of "The Ugly Duckling" at Wisconsin Lutheran College in conjunction with language arts instruction regarding story structure at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 22.
Wauwatosa Catholic
A Halloween party will be held at the St. Pius X gym from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 28.
Wauwatosa East High
The 2012 Tosa East Raider Athletic Booster club will be hosting a kickball tournament for ages 13 and up between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 27. There will be 10 players per team with a minimum of two females and the cost per team is $100.
Wauwatosa STEM
David Stokes, environmental naturalist, presented information about bats to senior kindergartners and first-graders at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 24.
Wauwatosa West High
Students attended the "It's My Life" conference at the Clarion Airport Hotel from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 22. They attended vocational and life skill mini-workshops that provided them with skills needed in transitioning from school to work.
Wilson Elementary
Students and staff will march around in a variety of costumes at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 25.
