Christ King
Students are collecting "Pennies for Patients," bringing in coins and dollars on designated days to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for Catholic Schools Week. The week was kicked off at an assembly on Monday with 15 students and teachers participating in "Locks of Love," donating their hair to make wigs for adults and children undergoing cancer treatment.
Longfellow Middle School
The Longfellow forensics invitational meet will be held at 8 a.m. Feb. 2.
Roosevelt Elementary
A chorus of Roosevelt students will perform onstage alongside professional artists from Opera for the Young at 2 p.m. Feb. 2. The group will present an adaptation of Jules Massenet's "Cinderella."
St. Jude the Apostle
The 8th grade graduating class of 1946 held a reunion last week. The former students were given a tour of the school, including two new additions erected since their graduation. Current students demonstrated their use of iPads, SmartBoards and computers in the daily curriculum while listening to stories from the former graduates about their school experiences in the 1940s.
Wauwatosa Catholic
Wauwatosa Catholic is hosting a skate night from 6 to 9 p.m., Feb. 2 at the St. Pius X Roller Rink. Community members are invited to spend time with their families roller skating, purchase a plate dinner by Bunzel's Meats or a pizza buffet by the Pizza Pops or participate in many of the sponsored events. Proceeds benefit Wauwatosa Catholic's Tuition Assistance Fund and St. Jude's Abby Bunze Scholarship Fund.
Wauwatosa East High
The East Choir Cabaret Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5.
Wauwatosa Montessori
The Montessori application window opens Feb. 4.
Wauwatosa STEM
The Wauwatosa STEM Governing Council Meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 6.
Wauwatosa West High
The Gallery 114 District Art Faculty and West Staff Show will showcase staff art Jan. 31 through March 7.
Whitman Middle
Incoming sixth grade registration will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 6.
