APRIL 6

Start Smart-Business Planning Boot Camp: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 6 and April 13 and 6 to 9 p.m. April 9 and April 16, WWBIC-Milwaukee, 2745 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Milwaukee. In this intensive series, learn about all major aspects of starting and running a small business, including business financing and ownership, market research, marketing strategies, record keeping, cash flow, business operations and management. SCORE counseling: Up to 24 attendees will have a one-on-one confidential counseling meeting with an experienced expert in one of six business categories: consumer marketing, business-to-business marketing, creating a marketing plan, social media, finance and accounting, and starting a new business. The event is sponsored by SCORE Southeast Wisconsin Chapter and the Brookfield Public Library. Attendance is open to any small business owner or senior executive who is not a current SCORE client. Slated for 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., the one-hour sessions require advance registration, which opens April 3. Sessions take place at the Brookfield Public Library, 1900 N.
