Will the mess under the Harmonee Bridge be cleaned up?
Issue: A reader noticed that the contractor who worked on the Harmonee Bridge left a mess in the parking lot underneath the bridge. He wants to know if this can be cleaned up.
Status: Bill Porter, director of public works, said the work on the Harmonee Bridge is not done. The mess is still there because the contract has not been closed.
This spring the contractor will work on the streetlights, railings and fencing on the bridge, Porter said. Work will resume once the weather warms up.
