Is there a rumor you've heard that you would like to track down? Is there something in the community that needs to get fixed? Mary Malahy explains some of the mysteries of life in the Tosa area.
Why were Hoyt Park lights on during the day?
Issue: A reader noticed the street lamps in Hoyt Park had been on during the day. He is curious to know why. He also noticed a flag pole in Hoyt Park was missing a flag and was wondering to whom he should report that information.
Status: Guy Smith, Milwaukee County Parks chief of operations, said the lights near the pool had been on because of an issue with the motion detectors. Contractors have been working on them, and the problem should be fixed.
Smith said he is the person to contact about the flag, and he will look into it. Similar issues should be reported to the parks department at (414) 257-7275.
