Left-turn lane added so U-turns possible
Issue: A reader wants to know why a left-turn lane was added on Mayfair Road heading southbound into what is currently the Bluemound Country Club Golf Course.
Status: Bill Wehrley, city engineer, said the lane is there to allow people to make U-turns. He explained that the median prevents cars driving out of the parking lots on the west side of Mayfair Road from heading north, so the turn lane provides drivers with a place to turn around.
