A 58-year-old New Berlin woman had her purse snatched and eyeglasses knocked off by a robber in the Outpost Foods parking lot Thursday afternoon.
According to Wauwatosa police:
The victim said she had been loading groceries into the back of her vehicle when she saw a car pull up behind her. A woman walked toward her, so she expected to be asked for directions. Instead, the woman demanded her purse and grabbed it.
The victim yelled for help several times, but no one responded. So she continued to cling to her purse and the robber pushed her and knocked her to the ground. Her eyeglasses were bent in the struggle and knocked off her face.
The robber finally got the purse, ran to her car and sped off.
