A man ran off with a woman’s purse after a brief struggle in the parking lot of Walgreens, 2656 Wauwatosa Ave., about 5:35 p.m. Thursday.
According to the Wauwatosa police report:
The woman had just arrived at Walgreens, and was walking through the parking lot toward the store when she was approached by a man who looked to be between 17 and 20 years old. He said, "This is what you are going to do: You are going to give me the purse."
She knew he was going to try to steal it, so she pulled it toward her body and held onto it tighter. He then tried to take the purse from her, pulling at it and swinging her around until the purse became free. He ran off through the alley to the east of Walgreens.
The purse and its contents are valued at $60.
