1A laptop computer, camera, telephoto lens, camera bag and jewelry were taken from a home in the 2400 block of North 86th Street between 7:50 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. Dec. 13. Loss is estimated at $3,000.

2A home in the 100 block of North 110th Street had its door pried open during an attempted burglary at 3 p.m. Dec. 13. A man and dog were in the house, which caused the burglars to run. The door knob was broken, resulting in a $50 damage.


3A man who lost his wallet while running errands — his last stop being at KFC, 6706 W. North Ave. — discovered his credit card was used to make a $300 purchase at a The Home Depot store at 2 p.m. Dec. 9.

4A backpack was taken from a vehicle in the 10400 block of West Hibbard Avenue between 10 p.m. Dec. 11 and 2:15 p.m. Dec. 13. The vehicle's window was smashed to allow the theft. Loss is estimated at $290.

5A flatbed trailer was taken from a parking lot in the 9700 block of West Bluemound Road at 4:05 p.m. Dec. 13. Surveillance video shows a tan SUV, possibly a mid-2000s Ford, hitch up to and drive off with the $850 trailer.


6A man was arrested for drunken driving after he crashed his car on Highway 145 and drove to the 7600 block of Harmonee Avenue at 2:24 a.m. Dec. 13. He fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a light pole. His blood-alcohol content was 0.11.


7A vehicle's window was smashed in the 300 block of North 116th Street between 7 p.m. Dec. 14 and 1 p.m. Dec. 15. The vehicle's doors were unlocked and its hood opened, but nothing was taken from it. Loss is estimated at $400.
