1A television was stolen from African Hair Braiding, 6419 W. North Ave., between 10 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8 a.m. Oct. 8. There were no signs of forced entry and the loss was estimated at $250.


2A woman passed a $875 fraudulent check at Waterstone Bank, 11200 Plank Court, at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 23. The check belonged to a victim of a purse theft and police are following up with a suspect.

3Two pair of headphones valued at a total of $380 were taken from Target, 3900 N. 124th St., between 6:53 and 7:22 p.m. Oct. 5. The thieves used a black duffel bag to conceal the headphones and are believed to have taken headphones from Target stores in Menomonee Falls and Franklin.

4An unlocked bicycle was stolen from Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., at 9:50 a.m. Oct. 7. The loss was estimated at $2,000.

5Cash and registration documents were taken from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of North 114th Street between 3 p.m. Oct. 7 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 8. The vehicle's steering column was damaged as well. The loss was estimated at $5.

6Steel tubes were taken from a trailer in the 10900 block of West Capitol Drive between 3:40 p.m. Oct. 7 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 9. The value was estimated at $8,000.

7A license plate registration sticker was cut from a car while it was parked at Dave & Buster's, 2201 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:37 p.m. Oct. 7. The license plate was damaged in the removal of the sticker.

8A vehicle had its window broken and items taken from it while parked in the 10900 block of West Bluemound Road between midnight and 6:57 a.m. Oct. 8. Clothes and a Bible were taken from the vehicle but later found in a nearby alleyway. The loss was estimated at $250.

9A laptop computer was taken from a home in the 9200 block of Stickney Avenue at 12:04 p.m. Oct. 9. The owner doesn't believe his home was burglarized and total loss was estimated at $1,500.

10A debit card and $102 in cash were taken from a locker at Wisconsin Lutheran College Athletic Field, 10200 W. Watertown Plank Road, between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10.

11A debit card and cash were taken from a locker at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Athletic Field, 10200 W. Watertown Plank Road, between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10. The card was then used for $455 in fraudulent charges at stores at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road.

12Gas was siphoned from a vehicle in the 2300 block of North 90th Street between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 11. An estimated total of $18 in gas was taken.

13A man took a $100 bill from the top of a cash register at Speedway, 6804 W. North Ave., at 3:33 p.m. Oct. 11.

14A license plate was taken from a vehicle parked in the 4100 block of North 97th Street between 10 p.m. Oct. 11 and 9 a.m. Oct. 12.

15A woman was arrested for taking a $110 jersey from Champs at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:49 p.m. Oct. 13.

Police responded to two thefts of items valued at less than $100.


16A girl was assaulted in the 7800 block of Woodland Avenue at 11:20 a.m. Oct. 7. She was leaving Wauwatosa East High School when a teenage boy came behind her, asked her how she was doing, and choked her. She told him to leave and he ran away. Police found he fit the description for a runaway from Carmelite Home for the Boys and have taken him in for questioning.


17A man was arrested for marijuana possession after a someone called police saying they saw someone selling drugs from a van parked in the 2300 block of North 65th Street at 1:28 p.m. Police searched the van and found 0.7 grams of marijuana inside.

18A man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, and possession of marijuana after he went through a red light at North 92nd Street and Watertown Plank Road at 11:55 p.m. Oct. 13. He had a gram of marijuana on him and his BAC was 0.10.


19A man was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after running a stop sign at North 68th Street and Milwaukee Avenue at 2:07 a.m. Oct. 11. His BAC was 0.08.

20A man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after he went through a red light at Swan Boulevard and West North Avenue, stopped in the middle of the intersection, and backed to the light at 4:57 a.m. Oct. 12. His BAC was 0.12. He was also wanted for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct resulting from a bar fight in Oshkosh.

21A woman was arrested for drunken driving, first offense, after she drove erratically in a parking lot in the 7700 block of Harwood Avenue at 2:44 a.m. Oct. 13. She said she was driving erratically because she was looking for her phone. Her BAC was 0.19.


22Three children were taken to Froedtert Hospital after the vehicle they were in made a U-turn in front of an SUV, causing it to hit their vehicle broadside outside of Whitman Middle School, 11100 W. Center St., at 7:57 a.m. Oct. 7. The SUV driver was also driving at an estimated 30 mph, double the speed limit.

23A motorcycle driver was taken to Froedtert Hospital for a broken leg after he ran into the back of a pickup truck at Glenview and Wisconsin Avenues at 8:28 a.m. Oct. 12. The truck stopped at a red light and the motorcycle didn't have enough time to go around it or stop.


24Two cars were scratched while parked at Wauwatosa West High School, 11400 W. Center St., before 5 p.m. Sept. 16. Police identified the vandal and confronted her. When confronted, she cried and said she'd pay for the damage. She was not cited.

25A mailbox in the 4600 block of North 110th Street had its door broken but nothing taken from it between 4 p.m. Oct. 7 and 4 p.m. Oct. 8.

26Five glass light fixtures were damaged at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1717 Church St., before 10:04 a.m. Total damage is estimated at $50.

27Four tires were flattened on a vehicle parked in the 2500 block of North 72nd Street between 5 p.m. Oct. 9 and 6:45 a.m. Oct. 10. Total loss is $600.


28A girl was arrested after fighting with another girl at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., at 7:58 a.m. Oct. 8. The two started fighting after they insulted each others hair.

29A boy was arrested for underage drinking after being caught on a bicycle at Washington Circle and Betsy Ross Place at 12:37 a.m. Oct. 12. He had four cans of beer in his backpack and has been arrested twice before by Wauwatosa police for underage drinking.

30A boy was arrested for underage drinking after riding a bicycle without headlights at North 73rd and West Clarke Streets at 3:03 a.m. Oct. 12. When the officer asked him if he was staying out of trouble, he replied "not tonight." He said he drank six beers and his BAC was 0.18.
