1Seven pieces of jewelry have gone missing from a home in the 10600 block of West Hibbard Avenue between Aug. 1 and Sept. 17. The owner believes they were taken on three days. There are no signs of forced entry.
2Credit cards and computer equipment were taken from an accounting firm at 10909 W. Bluemound Road between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 13. The cards were used to make $1,458 in fraudulent transactions.
3An iPod, tablet computer and clothing were taken from a home in the 10100 block of West Sunset Avenue between 9:15 a.m. and 12:23 p.m. Sept. 17. The suspect was later found after he assaulted a boy at Whitman Middle School. All items were returned to their owners.
4An apartment complex fitness center in the 6100 block of West State Street was entered at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The perpetrators tried taking two computers but were unsuccessful. They broke a window to gain entry to the building.
5About 1,700 feet of copper wire and parts were taken from a construction trailer at Viking Electric, 2900 N. 112th St., between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18 and 6:10 a.m. Sept. 19. The lock and latch were broken by the perpetrator.
6A cellphone was taken from a vehicle in a garage in the 2400 block of North 63rd Street between 9 p.m. Sept. 20 and 4:30 a.m. Sept. 21. The vehicle's window was smashed. Loss is estimated at $500.
7A tablet computer, laptop computer and two pillow cases were taken from an unlocked home in the 9900 block of West North Avenue between 6 and 10 p.m. Sept. 21. Loss is estimated at $720.
8A 2009 Volkswagen, valued at $10,000, was taken from a garage in the 2600 block of North 72nd Street between 10 and 10:55 p.m. Sept. 22. The car was later found in Waukesha with a broken rear window.
· Someone tried filing a tax return using a Wauwatosa woman's personal identification information May 28.
9A catalytic converter was cut from a vehicle at Hot Toppers, 255 N. 121st St., between 2 p.m. Sept. 1 and 10 a.m. Sept. 20. Loss is estimated at $200.
10A GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked car in the 9600 block of West Hampton Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 and 8 a.m. Sept. 16. Loss is estimated at $130.
11A woman was arrested for taking six cans of baby formula, a total value of $101, from Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 12:37 p.m. Sept. 16.
12A purse was taken from an office building at 1011 N. Mayfair Road between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. Sept. 16. The purse was later found but the credit cards and driver's license that had been inside were missing. The credit cards were used to make $1,700 in fraudulent purchases at Best Buy, Boston Store, Zumiez, Hot Topic, Hatworld and IWorld in Wauwatosa.
13Two men stole a box containing 30 cartons of cigarettes,, a total value of $1,800, from Walgreen's, 2656 Wauwatosa Ave., at 11:27 a.m. Sept. 17. They grabbed the box from behind the register and ran out of the store, past an employee who tried to stop them.
14A boy was arrested for theft and obstructing an officer after he took two pairs of pants, a total value of $316, from Buckle at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 5:43 p.m. Sept. 18. After being asked 10 times to give information about his father, he made up a false name and phone number for him.
15Spare tires were stolen from six vehicles at Mayfair Rent-A-Car, 1750 N. Mayfair Road, between 6 p.m. Sept. 19 and noon Sept. 20. The rear doors of the vehicles were damaged during the theft. The loss and damage estimate is $6,000.
16A metal fence was taken from a yard in the 8800 block of Stickney Avenue between 9:30 a.m. Sept. 21 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 22. Loss is estimated at $192.
17A man was arrested for taking two pairs of jeans from Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, at 3:28 p.m. Sept. 21. When police asked what he was doing, the man said, "Doing a little shoplifting." Loss is estimated at $162.
18A shopping bag containing $382 worth of clothing was taken from a fitting room at Boston Store, 2400 N. Mayfair Road, between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Sept. 21. A customer had accidentally left the bag in the changing room.
19A Jeep was stolen from a driveway in the 6500 block of Romona Avenue between 11:30 and 11:59 p.m. Sept. 21. It had been left unlocked, with a spare key in the center console. The thieves ran into another vehicle parked in the driveway while stealing the Jeep. The Jeep, valued at $14,000, was later found in Milwaukee with damage from the crash and a flat tire.
20A boy was arrested for drug possession after he took a computer out of a classroom at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 13. After being found outside the classroom he was supposed to be in, he was taken to an officer, who found 0.2 grams of marijuana in the boy's pocket.
21A man was arrested for drug possession and theft after he took a $70 bottle of perfume from Sephora at Mayfair, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 7:02 p.m. Sept. 21. Police found a crack pipe on him.
22A man was arrested for drunken driving after he was found driving on the wrong side of the road in the 1200 block of North Mayfair Road at 1:24 a.m. Sept. 19. When the officer pulled him over, he drove halfway over the concrete divider and parked his vehicle halfway on the divider and halfway on the road. His blood-alcohol content was 0.11.
23The letters "S" and "J" were were written on the bathroom wall at Starbucks, 2751 N. Mayfair Road, between 10 p.m. Sept. 15 and 12:40 p.m. Sept. 16.
24A vehicle's window was smashed at Mayfair Mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 10:53 a.m. Sept. 16. Video surveillance shows no one was near the vehicle when its window broke. Police believe the damage may have been caused by a stray golf ball. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
