1A laptop computer and music player were taken from a home in the 500 block of North 64th Street between 10:30 p.m. April 22 and 6:15 p.m. April 23. There was no evidence of forced entry. Loss is estimated at $1,000.
2Electronics were taken from a home in the 6900 block of West Wells Street between 6:45 and 10:40 p.m. April 24. The home was entered via a second-story window. Police believe the burglars climbed a tree to get to the window. Loss is estimated at $525.
3A bicycle was taken from an unlocked garage in the 2300 block of North 71st Street before 11:43 a.m. April 25. An unlocked vehicle in the garage was rifled through and damaged. Loss is estimated at $175.
4A brick was thrown through the front window of The Gold Emporium, 7024 W. North Ave., and several pieces of jewelry were taken from it at 2:45 a.m. April 27. Police believe the burglars called in a fake home invasion shortly before hitting the shop. Loss estimates are pending.
5A 49-year-old Germantown woman is wanted for writing two bad checks for a total of $526 to Crate and Barrel, 2450 N. Mayfair Road, on Dec. 22 and Dec. 24.
6An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for embezzling $1,257 from Family Christian Stores, 2525 N. Mayfair Road, between Feb. 12 and March 17. She used fake refunds to get the money.
7An iPod was taken from a car when the owner left the door open while fetching a bag from his home in the 7800 block of Warren Avenue between 6 and 7 a.m. Feb. 25. Loss is estimated at $250.
8Four necklaces were taken from a room at an assisted-living facility in the 10100 block of West Wisconsin Avenue between April 5 and April 22. The chains were worth a total of $1,200.
9Scaffolding was taken from the side of a home in the 2400 block of North Wauwatosa Avenue between 9 a.m. April 17 and 9 a.m. April 24. Loss is estimated at $500.
10An SUV's window was shattered and $268 of clothing and jewelry were taken from it while it was parked at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, between 5:20 and 7:49 p.m. April 22. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,000.
11A 34-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for trying to pass a fake check at Chase Bank, 7430 W. State St., at 3:16 p.m. April 23.
12A wallet was taken from an unlocked truck in the 1400 block of North 121st Street between 6 p.m. April 23 and 12:59 p.m. April 24. The wallet was later found, minus cash and credit cards, in a garbage can. Loss is estimated at $50.
13A man and woman were stopped before they could take a 250-foot roll of wire, valued at $171, from The Home Depot, 4100 N. 124th St., at 12:32 p.m. April 24. When caught, they dropped the wire and ran out of the store. They drove off; police are following up.
14Two women took 15 to 25 items from Pick 'n Save, 1717 N. Mayfair Road, at 1:10 p.m. April 24. The two used one $1 bill to pay at a self-checkout register and ran out of the store before an attendant could stop them.
15A roof rack valued at $800 was taken from a vehicle in a garage in the 1400 block of Underwood Avenue between 1:15 and 3:45 p.m. April 25. The vehicle was slightly scratched.
16A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft and drug possession after he tried to steal breath freshening strips, razors and strawberries from Pick 'n Save, 6950 W. State St., at 6:21 p.m. April 26. He was found with two pills of Clonazepam and a cooker cap. He said he was a homeless heroin addict and that he wanted to sell the stolen items on the street because he knew he could make money from them. The value of the stolen items is $323.
17Two 13-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested after they got into a fistfight at Whitman Middle School, 11100 W. Center St., at 9:58 a.m. April 25. The two were fighting about a kickball game earlier that day.
18A 17-year-old New Berlin boy was arrested for bringing a marijuana pipe to Kradwell High School, 1220 Dewey Ave., at 4:04 p.m. April 22. He admitted to huffing, and to using cocaine and marijuana over the three days before the arrest.
19A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after rear-ending another vehicle at Bluemound Road and 68th Street at 5:39 p.m. April 23. His blood-alcohol content was 0.24.
20A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, after he was pulled over for driving with expired registration in the 1300 block of Glenview Avenue at 3:53 a.m. April 24. His BAC was 0.15.
21A 38-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for driving with expired registration in the 6000 block of West North Avenue at 12:12 a.m. April 27. While being booked, the man said the officer "needed to get their life together" because he was "living on borrowed time."
22A fence pole was dug up from the construction site at 1225 Discovery Parkway between March 15 and March 30. Damage is estimated at $300.
23A vehicle's tires were cut in the 1000 block of Innovation Drive between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 17.
24Tires on two vehicles belonging to Nu Art Dental Lab, 252 N. 121st St., were slashed outside the business between 3 p.m. April 19 and 8 a.m. April 22. Damage is estimated at $290.
25The door to an apartment in the 7400 block of Harwood Avenue was kicked in between 1:30 and 9 a.m. April 21. Damage is estimated at $500.
26A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for throwing rocks at a car in the parking lot of Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 6:04 p.m. April 22. They admitted to throwing the rocks; the 16-year-old said he did it because he was bored.
27A 10-year-old boy was bitten by a dog while he was playing with its owner's children in the 2300 block of North 70th Street at 5:38 p.m. April 24. This is the second child the animal has bitten, and its owners had it euthanized.
28A loaded handgun was found in a restroom at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 12:40 p.m. April 25.
29An 18-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for urinating on a tree in the 2500 block of North 72nd Street at 10:40 a.m. April 27. The man also was arrested on six warrants, most stemming from using tobacco or intoxicants as a minor.
Police responded to four domestic disturbances in the past week.
