BURGLARY
1A house in the 6900 block of West Bluemound Road had its back door was kicked in but nothing taken from it between noon Feb. 20 and 3 p.m. March 14. The door's frame was splintered and window cracked, resulting in a loss of $400.
2A bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 11400 block of West North Avenue between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. March 15. The bike, valued at $150, was taken around the time the garage was undergoing repairs.
THEFT
3Cash valued at $600 was taken from the purse of an employee of Days Inn, 11811 W. Bluemound Road, between noon and 4 p.m. March 8. The employee believes a co-worker took the money while she left the purse unattended after a lunch break.
4A vehicle's window was smashed out and a backpack containing gym clothes was taken from it while it was parked at Buffalo Wild Wings, 2635 N. Mayfair Road, between 7 and 9:20 p.m. March 9. Total loss including damage to the car is estimated at $230.
5A vehicle's window was smashed and multiple items taken from it while it was parked at Crowne Plaza Hotel, 10499 Innovation Dr., between 8 p.m. March 10 and 6:45 a.m. March 11. The items ranged from a net book computer to medical ID cards. Total loss is estimated at $1,835.
6An employee of Grede Foundries, 6432 W. State St., had his wallet stolen from a locker in the foundry as he was showering between 2:35 and 2:40 p.m. March 11. The thief tried using his credit cards, which were declined, thrice, for a total charge of $1,990.
7A cellphone was taken from a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman while she was using the restrooms at Mayfair mall, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 6:30 p.m. March 11.
8A cellphone valued at $50 was taken from a backpack at Wauwatosa East High School, 7500 Milwaukee Ave., between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. March 12. The victim found out the phone was missing after her friend received a text invitation to a party from her number.
9A 56-year-old Milwaukee woman had a coin purse stolen from her while she was shopping at Pick 'n Save, 1717 Mayfair Road, between 5 and 6 p.m. March 12. The coin purse contained $45 in cash, her driver's license and was worth $40.
10A 1997 blue BMW was stolen from a driveway in the 6500 block of West Center Street between 8:30 p.m. March 13 and 6 a.m. March 14. The vehicle is valued at $3,000 and was locked.
11The owner of K & K Financial, 12201 W. North Ave., called police after noticing two computers were taken from the business between 12:45 a.m. and 11:40 p.m. March 17. The owner suspects her ex-boyfriend of taking the $322 computers due to several voice mails he left her regarding wanting to mess with her office.
Police responded to four thefts of items valued at less than $100 this week.
ASSAULT
12A 50-year-old West Allis man was arrested for assaulting a 48-year-old woman while she was walking to the bus stop at the intersection of North 62nd Street and West Wauwatosa Avenue between 9 and 9:30 a.m. March 12. The man denied assaulting her, stating that he was with his dying mother at the time.
DRUG POSSESSION
13A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for probation violation after the woman he injected heroin with overdosed in the Mayfair mall parking lot, 2500 N. Mayfair Road, at 8:52 p.m. March 14. He left her to flush the drugs down a toilet and when he came back, police were on the scene. When asked why he left her, he said "I didn't want to get involved in this mess because I am on probation for drugs."
DRUNKEN DRIVING
14A 43-year-old Wauwatosa woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, after she took a left turn at a restricted time at the intersection of Harmonee Avenue and Menomonee River Parkway at 5:42 p.m. March 13. She said she was going to pick her son up from school and refused a breath test. Blood-draw results are pending.
15A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after he ran a red light in the intersection of North Mayfair Road and West North Avenue at 1:19 a.m. March 14. He also did 60 in a 40 mph zone. While police were getting a blood sample from him, he said "I'm (expletive) drunk." He refused a breath sample.
ACCIDENTS
16A 57-year-old woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital after her vehicle was rear-ended by another car while she was slowing for a red light at the intersection of North Mayfair and Watertown Plank Roads at 12:31 p.m. March 13. The other driver, an 82-year-old man, was given a citation for inattentive driving.
VANDALISM
17A truck's gas cap lock was broken off while it was parked in a driveway in the 1400 block of St. Charles Street between 3 p.m. March 1 and 3 p.m. March 11. Damage is estimated at $20.
18A vehicle's window was smashed while it was parked at Buffalo Wild Wings, 2635 N. Mayfair Road, between 7 and 9:20 p.m. March 9. Nothing was taken from it, but the lock was broken and damage is estimated at $300.
OTHER
A 35-year-old Wauwatosa woman called police after receiving bills from collections regarding $1,219 in cellphone fees that she did not open. The bills were dated for Nov. 16, 2011 and Nov. 22, 2011. She believes she was the victim of identity theft.
19A 52-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for creating a disturbance after pushing another woman multiple times while the two waited for an estate sale in the 2300 block of North 62nd Street at 8:58 a.m. March 13. The woman pushed her twice and pulled on the back of her jacket.
20A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on a warrant of probation violation after he was stopped by police for smelling like marijuana outside Best Buy, 2421 N. Mayfair Road at 7:35 p.m. March 13. He didn't have any marijuana on him but admitted to recently smoking a blunt.
21A 26-year-old Wauwatosa woman called police after she said her ex-boyfriend, a 32-year-old man, raped her at her home in the 1000 block of north 115th Street at 4:35 p.m. March 14. Attempts to catch the man at work were unsuccessful. The two were staying at her parent's house due to him otherwise being homeless.
