Casey Grabow, Wauwatosa West student, won the 2013 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Excellence Scholars Award.
Along with the award, Grabow is involved in many extracurricular activities including orchestra, track and cross country. She is also involved in the National Honor Society and the Key Club.
The Wauwatosa School District named 35 teachers Herb Kohl fellows and awarded 19 students excellence scholarships and five students initiative scholarships this year.
Teachers and students named Herb Kohl Educational Foundation winners will be honored at a luncheon March 23 at Greenfield High School.
The foundation has awarded $8.2 million to Wisconsin teachers, students and schools since its inception by U.S. Senator Herb Kohl in 1990.
