Thomas May, Ph.D., of Wauwatosa, has been named associate professor in the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities, as the Ursula Von der Ruhr Professor of Bioethics, by the Medical College of Wisconsin. The chair was established by Gerhard Von der Ruhr and his wife, Ursula, as a way to express the couple's belief that research to develop new technologies for diagnosis and treatment must be guided by a strong code of medical ethics.
