Geological Society hosts rock and mineral show
The 55th Annual Rock & Gem Show hosted by the Wisconsin Geological Society is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 19 and 20 at Hart Park's Muellner building, 7300 Chestnut St.
There will be 25 dealers on two floors, club sales, food, door prizes and children's activities. Exhibits cost $3 adults. Children get in free.
Sarah Strong 5K walk/run to benefit scholarship fund
The Sarah Strong 5K Walk/Run benefiting the Sarah Strong Scholarship Fund will be held at 9 a.m. May 19 at Hoyt Park.
The cost is $12 for students and $15 for adults. After the walk there will be games, food, entertainment and silent auctions. Teams of more than eight people qualify for discounted registration fees. Email sarahstrong5K@gmail.com for information.
Summer dinosaur exhibit opens at the end of May
Adventure Dinosaur runs from May 26 to Sept. 3 at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Exhibit cost is $2.50.
