Anna Osterbur and Matthew Petersen were married Oct. 17, 2009, in Greenville, Ohio.

Parents of the bride are Bill and Kris Osterbur of Greenville. Parents of the groom are Mark and Rebecca Petersen of Wauwatosa.

The Rev. Barry Osterbur and the Rev. Alan Knoke officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Stillwater Valley Country Club in Bradford, Ohio.

Maid of honor was Margaret Shives of Dayton, Ohio, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Hilary Hinrichs of St. Paul, Minn., and Ilana Zafran of Chicago.

Best man was Erik Petersen of San Diego, Calif., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Joey Dunscombe of Madison and Ross Wiemer of Chicago.

The bride, who earned her bachelor's degree in anthropology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, is an Upward Bound director at Umoja Student Development Corp.

The groom, who earned his bachelor's degree in culinary science from Kendall College in Chicago, is an associate culinary editor at American Technical Publishers.

The couple met on the steps of Wicker Park Lutheran Church in Chicago. The groom then joined the choir at the church, where the bride was a member.

They honeymooned in Galena, Ill., for one week.

They reside in Chicago.
