June P. Thomas

May 20, 2009 | 0 comments

June P. Thomas (nee Lange), a lifelong resident of Milwaukee, died May 11, 2009, at age 80.

Thomas was a 33-year employee of Pius XI High School and a proud supporter of their team sports. Her time there brought her great joy and many friends. She also was a longtime volunteer at the American Cancer Society Christmas Fantasy House. But of all, her greatest joy in life was her family and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Stuhr, Karen (Dennis) McKearn, Gail (Rick) Johnson and Ronald (Bobby Kewan); grandchildren, Chip (Kirsten), Joe (Katy), Nick, Michael, Jessica and Kaitlin; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents, Carl and Frances; and brother Roland (the late Joyce) Lange.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held May 16 at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wauwatosa. Entombment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society are suggested.

The family thanks 4NW RN's Patsy, Jessica, Gina, the doctors and the rest of the staff at Froedtert Hospital for their kindness and care of their mom.

Church & Chapel Funeral Services handled the arrangements.
