James C. VerDuin of West Allis, formerly of Wauwatosa, died Dec. 26, 2008.
He was raised in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania. An employee of the Medical College of Wisconsin at the time of his death, he was previously a programmer for other area technology businesses. Active with the First Congregational Church in Wauwatosa, he also supported St. Vincent's Meal Program, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee tutoring program and Repairers of the Breach.
He is survived by his children, Melinda of Shorewood and Dan of Wauwatosa; siblings, Helen VerDuin Palit, Bill (Cynthia) and Ann (Al) Blake; former wife, Rachael VerDuin; nieces and nephews Scott (Robin) Oberle, Will (Alicia), Rachel Blake and Adam Blake; other family members and friends.
A service celebrating his life will be held at First Congregational Church, 1511 Church St., Wauwatosa, at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4. Visitation precedes the service at the church from 9:30 to 10 a.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Milwaukee, 9601 W. Silver Spring Drive, Milwaukee 53225.
