Frederick G. Diedrich

Frederick G. "Rick" Diedrich of Richfield, formerly of Wauwatosa, died March 7, 2009, at age 86.

He was a Wauwatosa fire fighter for 35 years and retired as a captain. He was a member of the Elm Grove American Legion Post 449 and the Daniel Boone Conservation League. He was a hunter safety instructor for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Diana (nee Pelzer); children, Janis Diedrich, Diane (Allen) Sengpiel, Karin (John) Kleba and Judy Diedrich; grandchildren, Dan, Stacy, Matt, Joe, Cody and Steve; sister-in-law, Marion (Charles) Kudrna; daughter-in-law, Mary Susan (friend Jeff Turkal) Diedrich; stepson, Scott Brockett; sister-in-law, Lynn (Elaine) Rettig; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; son, Frederick "Butch" Diedrich; and granddaughter, Jenny.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, March 12, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, N11940 Goldendale Road, Germantown. Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Memorials are suggested to St. Boniface Catholic Church or the Daniel Boone Conservation League.

Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services handled the arrangements.
