Anita Helene (nee Puccinelli) Balistreri of Wauwatosa died Nov. 25, 2008, in Cyprus, Texas, at age 93.

She is survived by her children, Frank C. (Mary Jo) Balistreri, Joanne (the late August) Lavora, Dianne Schumerth and Mary Beth (Mark) Kuxhause; grandchildren, Michael (Gabrielle), David (Beverly), Danielle (Terry) Mears, Deana (Johnny) Vacalavik, David (April) Lavora, Anne (Damon) Rago, Peter (Hillary) Schumerth, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Schumerth, Elizabeth (Alie) Goodman, Gina (Charlie) Alday, Laura (Danny) Meacham and Alex Kuxhause; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Adeline Puccinelli; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Frank, Tony, Steven Balistreri and Tressa Hepner; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph August Balistreri; grandchild, Robert Balistreri; and sisters, Carmen (Vito) Sparacio, Louise (Phillip) Pagac and Helen (Joseph) Zimmerman.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 121st and Center streets. Gathering begins at 10 a.m. Committal service immediately follows Mass. Private inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the United Community Center, Bruce Guadalupe School, 1028 S. Ninth St., Milwaukee, WI 53204.
