Richard A. Grayson, 47, of Libertyville, Ill., died Jan. 14, 2009, at age 47 at his home.

He was born Aug. 30, 1961, in Milwaukee.

He was a 1979 graduate of Wauwatosa East High School and also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Libertyville and a 13-year employee of CDW in Vernon Hills.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Grayson of Wauwatosa; wife, Susanne Grayson (nee Lechner) of Libertyville; children, Jenna and James, both of Libertyville; sister, Lisa Grayson; brothers, Rob Grayson, Jeff (Amanda) Grayson and Steve Grayson; mother-in-law, Sandra (Neil) Johnson; brother-in-law, John (Andrea) Lechner; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Grayson, in 1987.

A funeral service was held Jan. 17 at the United Methodist Church, Libertyville.

Memorials are suggested to the family for an education fund being established for his children.

Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville, handled the arrangements.
