Margaret Chelhar

Margaret Chelhar of Wauwatosa died Dec. 29, 2008, at age 84, after a short illness.

She was born July 26, 1924, in Channing, Mich., to the late Antonia (nee Chesnik) and Mathias Chelhar. She was an executive assistant during her career at Allis Chalmers and 38 years at Milwaukee Area Technical College. After retirement, she devoted herself to helping others through the Christ Child Society, the Red Cross and the Ronald McDonald House. She loved traveling and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Anton; sister, Pauline (the late Byron) Motl; nephews and nieces, Dennis (Rita), Charles (Darlene), Margaret (Daniel), Lindy (Craig) and Robert Motl; 13 grandnieces and grandnephews; other relatives and friends.

The service and funeral Mass were Jan. 2 at Guardian Angel Chapel of St. Camillus. Interment was at Channing Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House.

Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services handled the arrangements.
