Shulz Aquatic Center's Grand Opening Ceremony

I’m excited about the new family aquatic recreation center, the David F. Schulz Aquatic Center, that is scheduled for a grand opening ceremony this Saturday, June 6 at 11am at Lincoln Park, 1301 W. Hampton Avenue.  As a father of four, the great thing about these new water parks is how nice they are for young children.  I don’t have to be constantly worried about my child going under in deep water like at a normal pool.  My kids can enjoy the water and its depth at their own pace. Plus the big kids aren’t running past them knocking them down or frightening them.  The new aquatic complex will include a zero depth, beach-styled entry to five-foot pool complete with a concrete deck, lifeguard stands and a vinyl coated fence.  It will feature an enclosed tube waterslide and bodyslide, a constructed deep well pool with installed diving boards, plus water geysers and a play area equipped with interactive water toys.  I can hardly wait to take my whole gang.
