Fiddler Brings Down the House

I've mentioned before how fortunate Tosa is to have quality live theater at our high schools, and this spring musical at Tosa East raises the bar once again. Don't miss the Tosa East Players' production of Fiddler on the Roof, March 29 at 2 p.m. or April 3 & 4 at 7:30 p.m. I assure you, you won't be disappointed! You'll find it hard to believe that Tevye is played by an 18-year-old. Joe Widen brings great singing and acting talent to the role, but with a unique twist that's a refreshing change from Topol's movie rendition. Sarah Purpura as his wife, Golda, Rabbi Ben Grauer and matchmaker Lauren McElroy also convincingly portray decades-older characters with ease. The daughters and their suitors will leave you wondering how a small town like Tosa can produce so many talented kids year after year. Must be tradition! To reserve tickets, call the school at 773-2004.
