Doug has been a Tosa resident for over 20 years and loves his Olde Hillcrest neighborhood. He enjoys reading, riding his Harley and making his wonderful wife and three kids laugh.
In a previous post I may have implied a distaste for Kindle- the e-reader product from amazon. When my wife asked me about getting a Kindle months ago I said "I'll never get one- I like holding a book and turning pages". Well, the Sprague kids (who seem to enjoy proving me wrong) got together this Christmas and bought their old man (against my protests) a Kindle. I love it.
I enjoy Christmas music probably as much as the next person, however, I have my limits. Every year when the cheesy oldies station that I listen to changes their format to be "All Christmas Music All The Time" sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving, I have no choice but to re-program one of my car presets my car radio to something new. This year I found NPR. I'm sure many of you think I am a dolt for not regularly tuning in to this varied and intelligent option but please accept the fact that I am now a convert.
What an exciting time to be a resident of Wauwatosa. In the last few years we have seen some fantastic additions to our community- the renovation of Hart Park, the Rotary public performance pavilion, a farmers market that seems to get better each week, groundbreaking for a fantastic new pool and many new businesses small and large offering great places to eat, shop and play.
