If you live in Wisconsin, it's been a rough few months in social media. It's been my experience that both sides of our political landscape have been attacking each other with great vigor and very little maturity. You may recall that I'm a frequent Facebook user, but comments that I've seen (again, from BOTH sides) have made Facebook not much fun at all. Twitter isn't much better. I'd like to suggest that everyone be more respectful of each other, listen for a change and stop with the infantile name-calling...but I know that will fall on deaf ears.
Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to travel around our fair country via airplane. I am old enough to tell you that air travel is NOT what it used to be. In fact, it kind of stinks. Safety concerns and cost-cutting measures have made it only slightly less fun than sitting in a cattle car. Still, for a somewhat reasonable cost, it takes you places fairly quickly.
My friend Randy, born and bred in Green Bay, and now raising his own family up there, has written a song to cheer the Packers on in the Super Bowl. It's called Rock to the Big Game and it's a cute little ditty! He also created a Packers' fan video to go along with it. You can see the video here:
