Gas Pains Drops Out of the Top Ten
Did you hear cheering coming from the Palace or was that just my imagination?
Over the holiday break it occurred to me to inquire of The Wizard who resides over at The Mother Ship about the vital statistics concerning this ridiculous soapbox known as a blog.
Disclaimer - Since The Mother Ship switched programs around April of last year the data is incomplete as there are only three calendar quarters of data that are measurable. The total “hit count” was in reality much higher.
Here is what I've been told.
Out of about 130 active bloggers on all of the NOW sites Gas Pains ranked the 11th most popular blog.
Last year I finished last in the top 10. I have now slipped from 10th to 11th place.
You - man - are a complete slacker. What's the matter with you? Have you no pride? See, we told you that this is what happens when you let your day job and all that hunting, fishing, gardening, travel and curling come between you and the critically important business of blogging. Get back in front of your computer and get serious. Pronto. Stay there and blog and then blog some more. Blog until you turn pale and pasty from lack of sunlight and your eyes glaze-over. You need a life! Sheesh.

I admit that I am a slacker. But hear me and hear me good - I am not about to change my wicked ways. My readership in the past year has grown from a paltry 3 individuals to a stunning 52 individuals -notwithstanding the precipitous drop in the overall standings. For that I blame George Bush.
Yet there is Hope in the fact that there has been no Change. WauwatosaNOW has retained its coveted crown as the King of the Hill.
WauwatosaNOW finished the year with 2.8 million total page views. Brookfield came in second with 1.9 million. Followed by West Allis, Oak Creek and Franklin -- in that order.
Tosa has been the Number One NOW site since the day it was launched in May 2006.
