Maureen Connors Badding arrived in Wauwatosa 22 years ago via Buffalo and Phoenix. She's a freelance writer and habitual volunteer who enjoys book clubs, travel, entertaining and cheering for her daughter's swim team.
There are a few more opportunities to share your opinions about the East Tosa North Avenue Planning Project over the next couple of weeks, but you’d better hurry if you want your voice to be heard.
If you haven’t yet taken the online questionnaire, please do so before noon this Friday, August 27. (Once you get to the East Tosa North Avenue website, scroll down to the July 15 entry and click through to the survey.)
The City Planning office says more than 200 people have taken the survey to date. That's a pretty good response rate as surveys go, but responses should be running in the thousands. After all, that's how many of us will be impacted by new development.
Once you've filled out the survey, mark your calendar for Public Design Workshops hosted by the City, North Avenue Neighborhood Alliance and RDG Planning & Design. These workshops are a great opportunity to share your ideas and work with the Planning and Design Team to develop our long-term plan.
Public Design Workshops:
Tuesday, August 31, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 1, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Cranky Al’s, 69th & North
To see a summary of the collaborative work and findings, come to the Summary Presentation:
Thursday, September 2 at 5:30 p.m. at Cranky Al's
Don't let these opportunities pass you by!
