Do something really smart on election day

Whether you are voting Democratic, Republican or Other on Election Day, here is a chance to feel even better about your trip to the polls. Before you leave the house on Tuesday, take a quick look through your pantry and grab a non-perishable food item to take with you.  The Wauwatosa West Key Club is sponsoring a food drive to benefit Tosa Cares Food Pantry and the Wauwatosa Food Pantry. There will be bins designated for your contribution.

Some of you readers (and fellow bloggers) might draw a parallel between a food drive and the choices we make on Tuesday. The fact is, there are people in Wauwatosa who could use the help this holiday season, so if you can, vote early and often and don't forget a can or two of something.

At our house after the concert I asked my violinist daughter about the gum thing. She thought no big deal.
