Allison grew up on the east side of Wauwatosa, and now is a music teacher who lives on the west side of Tosa with her husband Nick. She enjoys working with a couple local non-profits, playing out with her wind quintet, listening to live music, attending arts events, baking, cycling, and wine.
It has been a while since I've written - perhaps because starting in November the life of someone involved in choral and/or classical music tends to get nuts... Many extra rehearsals for holiday music, etc.
As I was thinking about it, I did want to take a moment to mention on this blog that there is a great chorus that is based in Wauwatosa, the Milwaukee Choristers, that will be holding its Christmas concerts next weekend on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Although the concerts are in Elm Grove, the Choristers rehearse each week in Wauwatos at the Wauwatosa Avenue United Methodist Church. Many members of the group are Tosa residents (although there are still a good number that come from much farther out to sing in the group).
There will be some classic Christmas tunes performed next weekend, along with some festive spirituals and other fun works which you will just have to attend to find out more about :-)
Here is our concert poster, for more information - all of which is also available on the Choristers' Website.
