(*SCROLL DOWN FOR Photo!*) St Bernard’s & St. Pius X's 5th Grade Boys Basketball team completed an outstanding season. They were fortunate enough to finish in second place in the NDDB “Cousins” division and also won 3 tournaments at the end of the year.
St. Bernard Parish School opened its doors to students for the ninety-first time today! The K4-8th grade school continues to prepare young Catholics and non-Catholics to go out into the world well-prepared to succeed in high school and beyond and to live responsible, Christ-like lives. The faculty welcomed the students with leis, a neon palm tree, and "Aloha" greetings. Mr. William Strube's message to students was about this year's theme: Love One Another. (John 15:17)
Students were excited to see the school adorned in flowers and other Hawaiian decorations. The parents welcomed new families by holding a coffee social.
